It was lunchtime, but still early. As a result the Great Hall wasn't yet crowded. A few students dotted the four tables and the room was filled with a quiet murmur. Amelia preferred eating lunch at this time, before it got noisy. Of course, she usually preferred to eat with friends, but today she found herself eating alone.
She sat at the Hufflepuff table, absentmindedly picking at her lunch. She had one of her text books open, but she wasn't reading it. Instead she was lost in thought. Thinking about the latest upheaval to her social life. Of course she was thinking about it, finding out about Caradoc and Kings was HUGE. She was trying to figure out what to do with it.
Amelia was also worried about Kinsgley. He didn't seem to be handling the situation very well. She wished she knew Caradoc better. He always seemed like a nice guy, but she couldn't help worry for her friend. Kingsley knew him better than her (much, much... much better) and he seemed infatuated. She trusted Kingsley's judgement and he generally had a good sense of people. Caradoc better be good to Kings. Otherwise she'd - well, she couldn't do very much, really, but she would be very, very annoyed with him.
Amelia sighed and tossed down her fork on the plate, disgusted with herself for obsessing over this. She need a life. Her own, preferably, so she could stop fretting over her friend's love life.
